What Is Ambrosia in GTA 6? Leonida's Sugar-Refinery Town Explained

Ambrosia is GTA VI's inland sugar-refinery town. What Rockstar confirms, what the Extended Look showed and which details are only inference.

Ambrosia is one of six places Rockstar names in Leonida, alongside Vice City, Leonida Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn and Mount Kalaga.
Rockstar places it "in the heart of Leonida", where "American industry and old school values still reign supreme".
Per Rockstar, the Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs and the local biker gang "provides almost everything else".

Overview

What this guide is for

Ambrosia is the industrial heart of Leonida: a town where, in Rockstar's words, a sugar refinery provides the jobs and a local biker gang provides almost everything else. It is one of the six regions on the official GTA VI site and still one of the least shown, since the Extended Look released on August 27, 2026 does not give it an identifiable segment. Here is what is official, what is inference and how it fits the GTA VI map.

Where is Ambrosia in GTA 6?

Ambrosia is inland. Rockstar's official description places it "in the heart of Leonida", away from the coastline that defines Vice City, the Leonida Keys and Port Gellhorn. Rockstar has not published a map, so its exact position and size are not confirmed. See how it sits alongside the other five regions in our GTA 6 map regions guide and on the GTA VI map page.

What does Rockstar officially say about Ambrosia?

The official write-up is short. Its tagline reads "The battle for the health and wealth of Leonida begins here." The description continues: "In the heart of Leonida, American industry and old school values still reign supreme — whatever the cost. The Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, while the local biker gang provides almost everything else."

That is everything Rockstar states about Ambrosia in text. Anything else written about the region, including on this page, is either read from official images or labeled as analysis.

    • Official: Ambrosia's inland position, the Allied Crystal sugar refinery and a local biker gang.
    • Official but unexplained: the "health and wealth" tagline, which hints at a conflict Rockstar has not described.
    • Not official: the gang's name, the town's real-world model and its position relative to Lake Leonida.

Did the Extended Look show Ambrosia?

Not in any segment we can identify. The 26-minute presentation, captured in-game on PS5, focuses on Vice City, with side trips to the wetlands, bridges, an airport and activities such as racing, kayaking and fishing. None of its 14 chapters in our scene-by-scene breakdown is identifiably set in Ambrosia, and Rockstar's Extended Look page does not mention the region.

The video does show dirt-bike racing, but nothing on screen ties it to Ambrosia. Clips presented online as Ambrosia gameplay outside Rockstar's channels are leaks, and this guide does not use them. Every official frame is in the Extended Look gallery.

Who runs Ambrosia: the refinery or the bikers?

Rockstar frames it as a split: Allied Crystal provides the jobs, and the biker gang provides "almost everything else". In official material the refinery is the economic center of the town, and the gang fills the space around it.

Rockstar's text does not name the gang. Fan databases call it the Final Chapter MC, based on the patches on members' jackets, but that name does not appear in Rockstar's description, so treat it as unconfirmed until the game is out. For how gangs work across the state, see our gangs and crime overview.

Is Ambrosia based on a real place?

Rockstar has not named a real-world model. The most common comparison, made in press and fan coverage, is Clewiston, Florida, a sugar town on the southwestern shore of Lake Okeechobee whose refinery resembles Allied Crystal. That fits Leonida's broader pattern of fictionalized Florida, but it is inference.

Rockstar's Ultimate Edition material does name a place called Lake Leonida, home to an off-road mod shop. Whether Lake Leonida borders Ambrosia, the way Lake Okeechobee borders Clewiston, is not confirmed.

What is still unknown about Ambrosia?

Rockstar has not said how large Ambrosia is, which story missions take place there, whether Jason or Lucia have contacts in the town, or which activities are specific to it. The official story summary describes a criminal conspiracy "stretching across the state of Leonida", which suggests the plot leaves Vice City, but it does not list regions.

Those answers arrive with the game: GTA VI launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Track the schedule on our release-date page, and read Leonida and Vice City for the coastal side of the state.
