GTA 6 Robberies Explained: Disguises, Getaway Cars and Heist Planning
How GTA 6 robberies connect masks, surveillance, getaway cars, vehicle theft choices, police recognition and evidence in the Extended Look.
Overview
What this guide is for
GTA 6’s robberies appear to begin before the first gunshot. The Extended Look connects surveillance, disguises, vehicle access, a store robbery, police recognition and disposal of the getaway car. The footage does not prove every job uses every step, but it establishes a more deliberate crime loop.
Planning and surveillance before a robbery
The Gruppe Sechs and security-monitor scenes frame robbery work as preparation rather than an instant mission marker. Characters appear to observe routes, guards or camera feeds before the action begins.
The footage does not reveal a universal heist board or confirm that every store can be fully scoped. Those details remain open.
Masks, entry and vehicle access
The store sequence visibly uses masks, while stealing a parked car offers Slim Jim and Smash Window choices. One is presented as quieter and the other as immediate, giving preparation a practical effect.
That does not confirm a full stealth simulation, but it does show that the method of entry can be an explicit player decision.
The escape continues after losing the storefront
The chase moves through passenger gunfire, a vehicle swap and a burning getaway car. Combined with recognition and evidence indicators, it suggests the car itself can remain part of the crime trail.

Sources and verification
We distinguish what is visible in the footage from Rockstar statements and from our interpretation. The video remains the primary source for interface details.
