GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide: Where to Buy, Every Bonus, and the Deadlines That Matter

Where to pre-order GTA VI safely, what bonus you get, the digital-vs-physical no-disc catch, and the deadlines that actually matter before the November 19, 2026 launch.

GTA VI pre-orders are live on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and at authorized retailers.
Every pre-order includes the Vintage Vice City Pack — as long as you order before launch.
Standard Edition is $79.99; Ultimate is $99.99, and you can upgrade to Ultimate for $20 after launch.

Overview

What this guide is for

Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders opened June 25, 2026, ahead of the November 19, 2026 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This guide covers the essentials: where to pre-order safely, the free bonus every pre-order includes, the one thing to know before buying a physical copy, and the deadlines that matter. If you only remember one thing: pre-order before launch to lock the Vintage Vice City Pack, and there's no rush to buy the pricier edition.

Where GTA 6 pre-orders are live

Stick to official storefronts and authorized retailers. Buying anywhere else risks a scam, since GTA VI is console-only and cannot be pre-ordered for PC.

Before paying, confirm that the store page names your platform, edition and region. A legitimate listing should identify PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S and show the seller's refund terms. Do not treat a social-media DM, a key-generator page or an account sale as a pre-order route; none of those is an official GTA VI purchase channel.

  • PlayStation Store (PS5) and Microsoft Store (Xbox Series X|S) — the safest digital options.
  • Authorized retailers (e.g. Amazon, GameStop, Walmart) for a physical 'code in a box' copy.
  • Not on PC, mobile, or as a 'beta' — see our scams guide.

What you get: the Vintage Vice City Pack

Every pre-order, on either edition, includes the Vintage Vice City Pack — a '55 Vapid Stanier, retro outfits, a garage, and a Tommy Vercetti weapon pattern. It's a free bonus for ordering early, not something exclusive to the pricier edition.

    Standard or Ultimate? Don't overpay

The $79.99 Standard and $99.99 Ultimate editions include the same game and the same pre-order bonus. Ultimate just adds extra in-game vehicles, shops and side missions — and you can add those later for $20 after launch. For most players the smart move is Standard now, upgrade only if the extras prove worth it. Full breakdown in our editions comparison.

Digital vs physical: the no-disc warning

If you buy a boxed copy expecting a disc, know this: the box contains a download code, not a disc, and you'll still download the full game (150GB+). Boxed copies ship November 12 so the code arrives in time for preload. Details in our physical edition explainer.

        The deadlines that matter

Two dates to keep in mind, plus your options if you change your mind.

        • Pre-order before November 19 (order by November 18 to be safe) to get the Vintage Vice City Pack.
        • Preload starts November 12 — but starting a download can void a PlayStation refund, so decide before then. See how to cancel and refund.
        • Mind the free GTA+ month's auto-renew.
